My journey began two decades ago with a backpack, a questionable map, and a level of optimism that only a twenty-something can possess. I’ve lived in bustling cities and remote villages, traveled by everything from dugout canoes to bush taxis held together by prayer and duct tape, and I’ve loved almost every second of it. But let’s be honest, after two decades of dust and grit, a person starts to develop a deep, spiritual appreciation for high-thread-count cotton and a well-chilled gin and tonic.
